Privacy Policy

Effective Date: May 26, 2026

This policy applies to everyone who interacts with the pec.techlinetools.com website — whether
you are a general visitor browsing our catalog, a business submitting an account request, or an
approved account holder placing orders.

The sections below explain what we collect, how we
use it, and your choices.

In the event of any conflict between this Privacy Policy and the applicable Master Supply
Agreement (MSA), the MSA shall control with respect to the commercial relationship between
the parties.

This Privacy Policy governs only the collection, use, and handling of information.

This Privacy Policy describes how Techline Tools (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, stores,
and protects information from individuals who visit our website and from customers who create
accounts and place orders on our platform.

The Techline Tools website is publicly accessible. Anyone may browse our product catalog.
Pricing and order placement are restricted to approved account holders. This means we interact
with different types of users, and this policy addresses all of them:

• General Visitors — anyone browsing the site without submitting information or creating
an account
• Account Applicants — individuals or businesses who have submitted a request for
account access but have not yet been approved
• Approved Account Holders — businesses and their authorized representatives with
active accounts

By using this website in any capacity, you acknowledge the data practices described in this
policy.

1. Information We Collect

The information we collect depends on how you interact with our website and platform.

1.1 General Visitors

When you browse our website without logging in or submitting any forms, we automatically
collect limited technical data through our platform and analytics tools:
• IP address and approximate geographic location (city or region level)
• Browser type, operating system, and device category
• Pages viewed, time on site, and general navigation patterns
• Referring URL (the website or search engine that directed you to us)
• Session duration and aggregate usage behavior
This data is collected in aggregated and pseudonymous form. We do not attempt to identify
individual visitors by name, and we do not use this data to contact you.

1.2 Account Applicants
If you submit an account request or inquiry form, we collect the information you provide, which
may include but is not limited to:
• Your name and business title
• Company or organization name
• Business address, phone number, and email address
• Any additional details you voluntarily include in your request
This information is used solely to evaluate your request and communicate with you about the
outcome. It is not used for marketing without your consent.

1.3 Approved Account Holders
Once an account is active, we collect information necessary to manage your account and fulfill
your orders:

Most information processed through approved accounts relates to individuals acting in a
professional or business capacity on behalf of an organization, not in a personal or consumer
context.
Account and Business Information
• Company name and business address(es)
• Account holder name, title, and contact information
• Names and contact details of authorized purchasers
• Tax ID or exemption certificate information, if applicable
• Account login credentials (email and encrypted password, managed by Shopify)
Order and Transaction Information
• Order history, order numbers, and product details
• Shipping and billing addresses
• Payment for goods purchased through approved accounts is governed by the applicable
Master Supply Agreement (“MSA”) or other written agreement between Techline Tools
and the customer, which establishes pricing, payment terms, and accepted payment
methods

• Special order or tool request form submissions
• Backorder and fulfillment communications
Communications
• Messages or inquiries submitted through the site or directly to our team
• Account correspondence and approval communications
• Email opt-in and opt-out records

2. How We Use Your Information

We process information only where we have a valid business purpose, including to fulfill
contractual obligations, operate our platform, comply with legal requirements, and pursue
legitimate business interests such as improving our services.

2.1 General Visitors
Analytics data from general visitors is used only to:
• Understand how people discover and navigate the website
• Identify areas for improvement in site performance and usability
• Analyze aggregate traffic trends — no individual profiling

2.2 Account Applicants
Information submitted through an account request is used to:
• Review eligibility and make account approval decisions
• Communicate the status or outcome of your request
• Follow up if additional information is needed
Applicants are not added to marketing communications based on their application alone. If a
request is not approved, application data is retained briefly for recordkeeping and then deleted
or anonymized.

2.3 Approved Account Holders
For active accounts, information is used to:
• Process and fulfill orders, including coordination with distributors or manufacturers where
applicable
• Send order confirmations, shipping updates, and account notices
• Manage authorized purchasers and any location or permission settings on the account
• Handle returns, refunds, warranty requests, and customer support
• Send marketing communications about products, promotions, or updates — only to
users who have opted in
• Improve the platform and product catalog based on ordering behavior and tool request
trends

• Administer and perform our obligations under any applicable Master Supply Agreement
(“MSA”) or other contractual arrangement
• Use account and order data as necessary to perform obligations and exercise rights
under any applicable Master Supply Agreement (“MSA”)

Order confirmations, shipping notices, and other operational messages are transactional
communications. These cannot be opted out of while an account is active. Marketing emails
are separate and may be unsubscribed from at any time.

3. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Our website uses cookies and similar tracking technologies. These are active for all visitors from
the moment you access the site, regardless of whether you have an account.

Essential Cookies

These cookies may be set by Shopify and are necessary for secure browsing, cart functionality,
account authentication, and checkout operation. They cannot be disabled without affecting site
functionality.

Analytics Cookies

We use a performance analytics tool (such as Google Analytics) to collect usage data about
how visitors interact with the site that generally does not directly identify you. This includes
pages visited, session duration, device type, and general location. This data helps us
understand site usage and make improvements. It is not tied to your name or personal identity.
If you prefer not to be tracked by analytics tools, you may use your browser’s privacy settings or
a browser-based opt-out tool such as the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-on
(tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout).

Do Not Track

Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” setting. Because there is not yet a common industry
standard for responding to these signals, our website does not currently respond to Do Not
Track browser requests.

No Advertising or Retargeting Cookies

We do not currently use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or any third-party marketing
tracking technologies. If this changes in the future, we will update this policy and provide
appropriate notice to users.
You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies
may limit certain features of the site.

4. Information Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal or business information. We only share information
as necessary to operate our platform, fulfill orders, and perform obligations under applicable
agreements, including any Master Supply Agreement (“MSA”) with the customer.
We may share information only in the following limited circumstances:

4.1 Service Providers

We work with a small number of trusted technology providers necessary to operate the platform:
• Shopify Inc. — our ecommerce platform, which hosts the store, manages checkout, and
processes payments. All users’ session and order data passes through Shopify’s
infrastructure. Their practices are governed by the Shopify Privacy Policy at
shopify.com/legal/privacy.
• Analytics provider (e.g., Google Analytics) — receives aggregated and pseudonymous
usage data from all visitors to help us understand site performance.
• Email service provider — used to deliver transactional emails (such as order
confirmations and shipping notices) and, where applicable, marketing communications to
opted-in users. We use a reputable email platform and will identify it specifically in future
updates to this policy.

4.2 Fulfillment Partners

For orders fulfilled by third-party distributors or manufacturers, we share only the information
required to complete delivery — typically your name, shipping address, and order details.
Fulfillment partners are not authorized to use this information for any other purpose.

4.3 Legal and Compliance

We may disclose information when required by law, valid legal process, or to protect the rights,
safety, or property of Techline Tools, our customers, or the public.

4.4 Business Transfers

In the event of a sale, acquisition, or merger, user and account data may be transferred to a
successor entity. We will notify active account holders in advance where reasonably practicable.

5. Payment Processing

Payment for goods purchased on the site is governed by the applicable Master Supply Agreement
(“MSA”) or other written agreement, which defines pricing, invoicing terms, and accepted
payment methods.

Where transactions fall outside of those agreed terms or require card-based payment, Techline
Tools does not store, process, or access full payment card numbers, CVV codes, or bank account
information.

We retain only a payment method’s last four digits and card type for order record-keeping
purposes. If you have questions about how payment data is handled at the transaction level,
please refer to the Shopify Privacy Policy.

General visitors and unapproved applicants are not able to place orders and do not submit
payment information through this site.

6. Email Communications

We may send the following types of emails:

Transactional Emails
These are operational messages tied to your account activity, including order confirmations,
shipping notifications, account approval status, and responses to support inquiries. These are
sent as a necessary part of account operation and cannot be opted out of while your account is
active.

Marketing Emails
If we launch promotional communications — such as product announcements, catalog updates,
or special offers — we will only send these to users who have explicitly opted in. Every
marketing email will include a clear and easy way to unsubscribe.

You may opt out of marketing emails at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email or
by contacting us directly. Opting out of marketing does not affect transactional communications.
SMS and Text Communications

We may also send transactional SMS communications related to orders or account activity
where a phone number is provided.

This Privacy Policy shall be governed by the laws of the State of Texas. For approved account
holders, any applicable Master Supply Agreement (“MSA”) may contain additional governing law
or dispute resolution provisions, which shall control in the event of a conflict.

We currently use contact forms and Shopify’s built-in communication tools. If we adopt a
dedicated email marketing platform in the future, we will update this policy to identify it and
describe how your data is shared with that provider.

7. Data Retention

How long we keep your information depends on your relationship with the site:

General Visitor Data
Analytics data from visitors is retained by the analytics platform according to its own default
settings. We do not independently store identifiable visitor-level data.

Account Application Data
Applications that are not approved are retained for up to 12 months for internal records, then
deleted or anonymized. Approved applicants’ data transitions into their active account record.

Active Account and Order Data
Retained for the duration of the account relationship, plus a minimum of seven (7) years
following account closure, to satisfy standard commercial, tax, and legal recordkeeping
obligations.

Marketing Consent Records
Opt-in and opt-out records are retained indefinitely to maintain an accurate record of
communication consent.

8. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational steps to protect the information on our
platform:
• All data transmitted through the site is encrypted using SSL/TLS, provided by Shopify
• Shopify’s infrastructure is SOC 2 compliant and PCI-DSS Level 1 certified
• Account credentials are protected through Shopify’s encrypted authentication system
• Internal access to account and order data is limited to authorized personnel only
No system is completely secure. While we work to protect your information, we cannot
guarantee absolute security. In the event of a data breach that may affect your information, we
will notify impacted individuals as required by applicable law.

9. Your Rights and Choices
Your options depend on how you interact with the site:

• Manage or disable cookies through your browser settings
• Opt out of analytics tracking using your browser’s privacy tools or an opt-out extension

• Request deletion of your application data at any time before an account is created by

respond within thirty (30) days where reasonably practicable and as required by applicable law.
California Residents: You may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy
Act (CCPA/CPRA) if you are acting in an individual capacity. We do not sell or share personal
information as those terms are defined under California privacy law. Contact us for details.

10. Children’s Privacy

This website is intended for business use and is not directed at individuals under the age of 18.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we become aware that such
information has been submitted, we will delete it promptly.

we make material changes, we will:
